Pop Music Production
As you’ve probably guessed, “pop” is short for “popular.”The term applies broadly to anything that people are listening to now or songs that were popular in the past. We call them songs for the masses. That includes radio songs, Top 40, the Billboard 100 and much more. Pop can be — and often is — a mishmash of different styles and genres.
In this workshop, you will experience a behind the scenes perspective of the recording and mix techniques that go into a pop music production. Beginning with pre-production or the basic composition that is used to create the foundation of the song, dive deeper into vocal production and finish with the concepts and ideas used to create todays pop hits.
