Podcast
What is a podcast, and why are so many people drawn to them? Podcasts are similar to radio shows but offer unique advantages that make them appealing to audiences and content creators.
So, how do they work? In simple terms, a podcast is a digital medium consisting of audio (or video) episodes that relate to a specific theme. The hosts of a podcast are referred to as “podcasters.”
In this course, we will breakdown all of the elements that you will need to know to start your own podcast. Its more than just recording audio. You will learn step by step from an audio professional. Beginning with the original concept of what your podcast will be about. Next you will be guided through the process of setting up a hosting platform. Later you will learn technical skills to record the audio for your podcast, edit your audio and add music to the intro and outro along with a final mix of your episode. Finally you will be guided through the upload and distribution process to allow your episodes to be heard on all of the major podcast directories like Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts. Our workshop series covers a summary of the elements involved in producing your podcast but in this detailed course you will spend more time learning audio recording techniques, in depth editing and mixing your final project so it sounds like a professional production. In addition we will also cover how to grow your audience, monetizing your podcast and how to attract advertising dollars.
Enjoy the experience of learning in a professional environment where you can ask questions, gets hands on skills and work with others to take your skills to the next level.
